BIANCA GALIPO'

From Perth, West Australia, Bianca Galipò studied stage directing at The National Academy of Dramatic Art, “Silvio D`Amico", in Rome. Since graduation, she has worked as an Assistant Director to one of Italy's foremost avant-garde theatre directors, Giorgio Barberio Corsetti.  Bianca made her debut as a director in the Italian theatre scene in 2001 at the Todi Arte Festival with Campanile in Campagna, a theatre project based on the works of Italian writer Achille Campanile. In September 2001, in collaboration with The Australian Embassy and The University of Lecce, she directed Brilliant Lies by David Williamson for The Bi-annual European Australian Conference held in Lecce, Italy.
She is also an ongoing member of The English Theatre of Rome, where in November 2002 under the patronage of the Canadian Embassy, she staged Unidentified Human Remains and the True Nature of Love by Brad Fraser.  In 2000 she directed  The Bear by Anton Chekhov.  In 2003 Bianca directed Nightfall by the internationally acclaimed Australian writer, Joanna Murray-Smith who was present on both the opening and closing nights of the play.  Her next project will be a yet another contemporary play, 15 Seconds by French Canadian playwright, Francois Archimbaud.
