DOUGLAS DEAN

Douglas Dean trained as an actor in London but has resided in Rome for seven years now. He has just completed filming "The Wholly Family", a new short film, written and directed by Terry Gilliam. His other film and TV credits include small roles in "Rome, Ghost Boat" and "Via della Rosa". The majority of Douglas' credits, however, are theatre-based and include roles such as Richard III, Jimmy Porter, Iago, Benedick, Astrov, Shylock and Malvolio. He has narrated several award-winning documentaries and also provided the voice for Paco in the English adaptation of the cult Italian children's series "Taco e Paco". Douglas' most recent outing for the English Theatre of Rome was as Stanley, under the direction of Gaby Ford, in an acclaimed production of Harold Pinter's "The Birthday Party". His other credits for the company include "Fifteen Seconds" and "Address Unknown".
