MAURY DATTILO

although born in Rome, he has a long affair with NYC where he lived on and off and studied with Stella Adler and Uta Hagan. Off Broadway he played George in "Mice and Men" and Sebastian in "Suddenly Last Summer". He won a scholarship to study at Columbia University, where he got his masters. During this time he also won the "Miles Formen Award" for Best Actor, and the following year "Best Monologue". Maury participated in various film festivals internationally with his directing work in short films and documentaries. With The English Theatre of Rome he worked as an actor and writer with new plays being developed. As a director he made a notable success with his innovative interpretation of  "Stye of the Eye" by Christopher Durang and also expertly handled nine demanding woman in "A Particular Class of Women". Currently Maury is working in Rome as a writer and director in both film and television.
