ROB ALLYN
living in Rome since 1997,
Rob has no plans to leave any time soon. While in Rome he has worked
extensively in film, TV and Theatre. Catch him in U57-1 directed by
Jonathan Mostow, Gli Indesiderabili directed by Pasquale Scimeca and
Space Off, directed by Tino Franco, a short featured at the VeniceFilm
festival. Career highlights include working on a Swatch watch
commercial directed by Spike Lee. Thanks to both The English Theatre
of Rome and The Miracle Players, Rob has also walked the floorboards
of stages in Rome, Ferrara, and Lecce . Favourite roles include the
lead in Brad Fraser's "Unidentified Human Remains and the True
Nature Of Love", Smirnov in Checkov's "The Bear", Lawrence
in "For Whom The Southern Bell Tolls", and the schizophrenic
duo Jake/Frankie in "A Sty In The Eye" by Christopher Durang.
This is Rob's fourth production directed by Bianca Galipo'. As always,
he considers it to be a great honour, challenge, and learning experience
to work with such a passionate director.
